Mass Vaccination Drive
IPS project companies started a mass vaccination campaign early this year to inoculate their employees and their families. The various companies have partnered with the ministry of health to ensure the initiative is a success.
Continuous awareness and education on the importance of being vaccinated and COVID 19 is ongoing at the companies.
Kampala Pharmaceutical Industries (KPI)
KPI, as an essential service provider partnered with Naguru Hospital, a local hospital in their neighbourhood, and had more than 50% of their employees vaccinated. 173 beneficiaries received the first dose, and 84 beneficiaries have been fully vaccinated.
Farmers Choice Limited (FCL)
FCL in partnership with the ministry of health carried out a vaccination drive, 825 members were vaccinated. 84% of staff are fully vaccinated.
Allpack
Throughout the year, Allpack has et up three vaccination drives in partnership with the ministry of health. 80% of staff have been vaccinated with 69%fully vaccinated and 11% having received the first dose.
A total of 357 have received their first dose and 250 are fully vaccinated. The company is also held 22 continuous awareness and education sessions on COVID-19 within the company.
Frigoken Limited (FKL)
Frigoken in partnership with the Ministry of health carried out two vaccination drives for their employees and their families. 1,359 have received their first jab, 933 have received their second Jab.
Premier Foods Limited (PFL)
65% of PFL’s employees, contractors and casuals have been fully vaccinated and 2% have received their first dose. PFL in partnership with the Ministry of health carried out two vaccination drives within the company premises.
Wire Products (WPL)
By the end of November, 243 WPL employees got their first vaccine while 172 are fully vaccinated. 60% of the population has been fully vaccinated and 85% have received their first dose.
The vaccination drives are set to take place in all the companies until all employees are fully vaccinated.
